Message	and the greater the load. Had you just stuck your foot in it previous to hearing the sound? Try putting your hose (not YOUR hose but the one you're using to diagnose the problem) against the oil pan or side of the block while someone raises the RPM, see if that helps localize the sound. Maybe that will rule in, or out, the possibility of a rod knock...I hope it's something else. Mark
